Windows 7 Max Resolutions
Whenever I reinstall Vista it always sets it to 1920X1080, but it looks terrible so I set it to 1680X1050 (what it was made for) and its fine. If its DVI this could explain things. Any recommendations on a good solid reliable display to replace these with? The card is so old that it doesn't have a driver for Windows 7 64bits (it seems that it works in 32... check over here

I don't see that option anywhere in the advanced display settings. Great picture quality, and a huge screen size for not too much money. Probably an HD5870 2gb model since there are no 6k series over 1gb at the moment though I may end up waiting a little while to see if one is released.

Monitors and display cards these days can talk to each other and auto negotiate max res, thus your inability to set higher resolution.
