I want to install it as a slave drive in my comp.

I had to replace a hard drive that was less than a year old. it fails to see the hard drive there until ahci was turned off. I'd like to utilize the M.2 sata port with a Crucial M550 500gig drive for windows, and re-install the 1tb hard drive for storage.
