The lcd lights up but I can't see anything at all. I downloaded the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 drivers onto the Windows 8 laptop and tried to install them directly onto that. I found that port #1 was the DVI by unpluggin the cables between the confirmation dialogs and watching which port was not detected. I'm screwed for life? =/ My monitor is capped at 1600×1200 instead of 1680×1050. Well, I went and removed it anyway. Then Update the Video Card Driver from it's manufacturers support/download drivers to get the maximum resolution for you card and monitors. but I can't afford to have a broken PC either.Obviously I believe this issue is somewhat or completely related to the failed Windows update in my opinion.

I used "EDID_Converter.exe" to convert the .bin file to a PowerStrip .dat file to feed it into "DDCW.exe". So I assumed now that it really is the graphics drivers that need to become Windows 8 editions.
